ocr: Clothing Most Egyptians wore clothing made out of linen, a woven fabric made from the flax plant. The poor wore coarsely woven linen while the rich wore fine linen. Coarse linen was a dark tan color and fine linen was white. Because of the heat, people did not wear heavy clothing.
